Useful tips for Breakfast on the road
“Their eggs are pre-peeled!”
If you travel for work, getting a healthy, protein filled breakfast can be a challenge. Here are some suggestions on how to make it happen.
Hard-boiled eggs: Most hotels have them ready for the taking in their concierge lounge. Take a handful and have some whites. They’re often ready to eat, but here’s how to peel the shell if they’re not. If they don’t have hard-boiled eggs, just ask.
Scrambled eggs: Next best if hard boiled ones aren’t available. Nearly every hotel has a huge vat of scrambled eggs at breakfast.
Protein bars: Great to keep a few in your bag if you’re in a hurry, or the hotel doesn’t serve food. Make sure, though, that it’s not a candy bar in disguise.
Oatmeal: If Starbucks is the only choice, their oatmeal with some almonds is a decent choice.
Yogurt: Sometimes tough to find, but usually a good options if it’s not full of sugar.
Raw almonds: If you’re stuck in an airport with legitimate options, Hudson News stores usually have big bags of raw almonds.
