Coffee smoothie with peanut butter, banana and cocoa.  Energizing and refreshing.

Ingredients:

  • TOOLS
  • blender
  • FOODS
  • almond milk - 2 CUPS
  • instant coffee - 2 tsp
  • cocoa - 1 Tbsp
  • peanut butter - 2 Tbsp
  • frozen banana - 1 WHOLE
  • agave nectar or stevia or dates - to taste
  • ice - 1 3/4 CUPS

Instructions:

  1. Get your blender
  2. Add liquid ingredients, then the rest.
  3. Be happy.

Useful tips for The Coffee Smoothie

You can make this smoothie in any blender, sure. But it’s one of my many recipes created in and designed for a Vitamix and will turn out best when made in one.

Instant coffee works nicely for this. Concentrated cold brew works well, too.

This is a classic template for a protein shake. Make it egg white style by subbing out some almond milk, or use some protein powder. Of course, you can always make it virgin, as it’s described in the recipe below.
