Want to know what Vitamix we use at Life is NOYOKE? Here’s the Vitamix we use at home (plus some of our friends’ for comparison).
Our New Vitamix
We are so excited to have this new Vitamix! It’s a A3500 and is one of the Ascent Series models (so full of new features and has a beautiful new design). Here’s a everything you ought to know about the Vitamix Ascent.
Our Vitamix Setup from the past two years
Currently, our Vitamix is a Brushed Stainless Vitamix Pro 750. We also have a 32-ounce container for small smoothies, dressings, ice cream for two, etc.
We know any Vitamix would work with our lifestyle. But since we use ours so often for so many things, we have the one with the most features.
And as we tell everyone, pick a Vitamix that will be part of your kitchen. This one fit well with ours.
We use our Vitamix every day. Always in the morning and again if we’re posting or hosting.
Note 1: The 32 ounce container must be added separately to your shopping cart.
Note 2: This Vitamix is not the latest and greatest. For that, see the Vitamix 780 (review).
Note 3: We do not have a dry grains container. Here’s why.
Note 4: Want to see the Pro 750 in action? Here’s a YouTube playlist of our videos featuring the Pro 750.
When we travel, we throw our S30 in our suitcase. It’s small and is accepted through airport security.
It’s not a perfect replacement for our full-sized Vitamix. But it’s far superior to other personal-sized blenders.
Our Travel Vitamix

It’s not a perfect replacement for our full-sized Vitamix. But it’s far superior to other personal-sized blenders.
My previous Vitamix
My first Vitamix was a 5200. While it’s still available, it remains the best Vitamix for new owners.
I’ve also used a 7500 for a while. And soon after, upgraded to the similar G-Series with pre-programmed settings, the Pro 750.
In 2016, I invested in a secondary 32-ounce container. While initially resistant to add-on, I’ve found it to be well worth it.
Their Vitamix — Some of Our Family, Friends, and Followers
Many people in our circles live a lifestyle similar to us. Here’s the Vitamix they use (and why).
Brad M.
Age: 46
Occupation: Consultant
His Vitamix: 5200
His situation: For an old guy, I am pretty healthy. I’m in the gym a lot and have been doing crossfit for a few months. my current project is in Minneapolis so I joined a crossfit gym there so I can get some work in when I travel. all my basic metrics (bp, cholesterol, etc.) are in a great place, but I make horrible food choices. Traveling doesn’t help. so now the focus is entirely on nutrition and getting rid of some unwanted lbs. The blender won’t be the only aspect to improved nutrition, but it will definitely play a big role.
His thinking: Vitamix it is. it is likely that most things I make in it will serve one, so the most direct path to that would be best. my use case to start out with is breakfast smoothies when I am home, which is 3 days a week these days. hopefully more days at home at some point. my daughter will certainly want to use it, too, so maybe some lunch/dinner stuff on the weekend. I’m sure that once I have it, I will make more things
His thinking continued: When looking at the other considerations, I don’t really care a lot about hiding it, so the feng shui thing isn’t a big deal. I still go to about 50 rock concerts a year. I don’t have an issue with loud noise. I suck at multi-tasking. These choices are usually hard for me. I overthink everything. While I am very tempted by the G series, I will take the recommendation of the 5200 and get going. worst case, I swap it out in a month.
His conclusion: I will use your promotion code, support your business, and get free things. sounds like a great trade. Thanks again.

Age: 31
Occupation: Emergency Medicine Resident, UCLA
His Vitamix: 5300
His story: My mother-in-law picked it up for us at Costco. I am so embarrassed. I told her to get it through you. Is that a good one?
His creations: As my good friends noted at my wedding, I’m a connoisseur of many things. Clearly I needed a next generation model for all the stuff I want to make. But I’m still in my residency, meaning I’m not yet paid like the medical doctor I am.
Jeanne R.
Age: 55
Occupation: Human Resources
Her Vitamix: Pro 750
Her situation: I grew up in the 70’s in a home where my mother made her own yogurt and had a stainless steel Vitamix. (That thing was SO loud that I’d have to run up to the second floor whenever she’d run it. They’ve come a long way design wise.) I became a Vegan for about 16 months but recently fell off the wagon. Not going to beat myself up about it though. For the most part I’m vegetarian.
Her creations: Things that help me get rid of the standard American diet altogether! More raw foods, etc.
Chris J.
Age: 43
Occupation: Security Guard
Her Vitamix: Pro 750
His story: I believe in buying the best you can afford. Occasionally that means going over your initial budget to obtain a higher quality product with more features that you might not need/want now but you may eventually grow into. Sure, I could have replaced my cranky Nutribullet for the RX model to eventually have that “bite the bullet” in a couple years (nevermind the limited warranty).
His creations: I tend to make smoothies “freestyle” without really resorting to published recipes and generally make green drinks (fruit smoothies are tasty but I want to watch my sugar intake). Baby spinach, a third of a large cucumber, a couple stalks of celery, half a lemon, a carrot and eight fresh strawberries and some ice… I made a tomato/basil soup last night, gotta love that soup setting. Four tomatoes, basil, garlic clove, half jalapeño pepper, couple green onion stalks, sun dried tomatoes (this time I was following a recipe), and a handful of cashews…Going to try hummus this week as we’re out.
Marie Z.
Age: 52
Occupation: Small business owner, mom
Her Vitamix: Pro 500 Reconditioned
Her situation: I have a son who won’t eat hardly anything. He’s a twin that had complications at birth. Thank goodness he’s totally normal in every way except he’s a picky eater to the extreme! Every year around his birthday I ask him if he is going to try anything new this year. I can only remember two or three times he’s ever tried anything new.
Her creations: Our Vitamix is awesome to say the least and has been getting an almost daily work out since it arrived!! I try hard to make smoothies every single day. My whole family loves them including my picky son! He will drink them as long as 1) he doesn’t know what’s in them and 2) they aren’t green. I’ve tried a couple of other recipes, including tortilla soup that turned out pretty darn good.
Her feedback: I absolutely love the brushed stainless! And believe it or not I wasn’t sure if I would use the pre-programmed settings. But I have found that I use the smoothie setting every time and I love it. And it’s so easy to clean! I watched your video on how to clean them so that’s exactly what I do. Easy peasy! This Vitamix is the best thing ever.
Kathy P.
Age: 29
Occupation: Author, Vegan Bloger
Her Vitamix: 780
Her situation: For the past few weeks, I’ve been so excited to take the 780 for a spin! Or a whirl. A swirl? A blend? Just so excited.
Her creations: From Lenny: I had the pleasure of meeting Kathy at the Vitamix Affiliate Summit in the fall of 2014. She is prolific, not only in her vegan creations, but also in the light of joy she shines. Check her out at healthyhappylife.com (and see her full 780 review here).
Her conclusion: 3 weeks later, I must admit, I looove this flashy, lovely, modern machine. For me, it’s a keeper.
Jen T.
Age: 22
Occupation: Entrepreneur
Her Vitamix: 5200
Her situation: I was spending $100’s every month on Jamba Juice. I knew I needed a blender. I bought mine after watching your video while at the store (in front of all the other blenders!).
Her creations: Starting with smoothies then will probably make my way through all your recipes. 🙂
