Shaved Ice

  • Yield: 1 cup
  • You're needed for: 10 minutes
  • Until it's done: 10 minutes

A simple and refreshing dessert made with whole fruit and ice

Ingredients:

  • STRAWBERRY SYRUP
  • strawberries - 1 cup
  • rhubarb - 1/4 cup
  • water - 1/2 cup
  • date syrup - 3 TBSP (more or less to taste)
  • SHAVED ICE
  • water - 1 cup
  • ice - 2 cups

Instructions:

SYRUP

  1. Add all ingredients into Vitamix container
  2. Blend on high until smooth
  3. Pour into a small pan
  4. Reduce over medium heat until consistency of maple syrup
  5. Let cool

SHAVED ICE

  1. Add water and ice to Vitamix container
  2. Blend on Variable Speed 4 for 4 seconds
  3. Strain water then quickly pour into a cup
  4. Douse with syrup and enjoy

Put ice mixture in a cup and pour the cooled syrup on top
