Wondering how much we actually use our Vitamix, this month part-time with an A3500 with 8-ounce and 20-ounce containers, part-time with a Vitamix Pro 750 (with 32 ounce container and 20 oz Personal Cup Adapter)? Us, too!
Here’s our August Vitamix Usage Report from the headquarters of Life is NOYOKE (Minneapolis!)
But first, let’s assess our Vitamix usage at a high level.
August 2017 Recap
August was our first month in Minneapolis.
And finally, we felt settled in.
Our Vitamix got its new place on the counter. And we used it a ton!
So many smoothie bowls. So many green juices.
Why?
We really needed it. After the July pack and move, we needed to get back on track.
Plus, we were ready to get back to uploading videos to our YouTube channel. And so before we share all the things we made, here are our new YouTube vids from August.
New channel trailer: I shot this with my mobile phone while driving our moving truck. I know, not safe. But I was feeling motivated (and caffeinated!).
Black Stainless Metal Finish: So the A3500 has a few metal finish options. And unfortunately, their names, like the Graphite Metal Finish, don’t describe their true look and feel well. So here’s a look at the Black Stainless.
White Vitamix Ascent: And because people were asking about this one, too, here are some close looks of the White Vitamix A3500.
We did one other video this month, but since it’s not Vitamix related, here’s a simple link: VLOG: Making Grandma’s Pickles!
Anyway, we hope you enjoy looking through the things we made this month. If you make something, be sure to tag #lifeisnoyoke.
Remember: Your creations do not need to be the most picturesque. We love cheering you on no matter what.
As always, thanks for reading. 🙂
Vitamix Usage
All of the following were made in our Vitamix this month with an A3500 with 8-ounce and 20-ounce containers, part-time with a Vitamix Pro 750 (with 32 ounce container and 20 oz Personal Cup Adapter), and once with Shalva’s mom’s 7500.
Obviously, our lifestyle is extremely conducive to heavy use. Work from home, make a living as virtual Vitamix reps. But full transparency is the goal here. What do we actually do with our Vitamix?

August Learnings
Being settled. It’s something you take for granted.
But when you’re not, it’s so disruptive. It disrupts your routine, your flow, your everything.
And that’s taxing.
It took us a bit to get settled into our new apartment in Minneapolis. And once we did, we started to feel alive again.
And with that, we started using our Vitamix at the rate we expect. In fact, this month was our largest usage total since we began tracking in December of 2016.
When we were unsettled we didn’t blend as much. The opposite this month.
Aside from being busier with tasks outside of the house, the biggest difference was access to fresh produce. For a couple weeks, we didn’t have a place to put fresh food.
And so my big takeaway is this: People who frequently travel deserve a break.
It’s been awhile since living out of a suitcase during the week. It’s hard to remember how it feels to live being so unsettled.
Yes, they could shlep a Vitamix around with them. And yes, they could go to a store and buy some fresh produce.
But where would they put it all being so unsettled? In the mini fridge?
Life is about not settling. But feeling settled is so important.
And when you are, it shows in your ability (and willingness) to fire up the Vitamix and blend up some high quality fuel.
Final thoughts
That concludes our Vitamix usage report for August 2017. Hopefully you’re inspired to try some of the things we made.
We loved making them and hopefully you will, too.
Thanks for reading,
Lenny and Shalva
