Wondering how much we actually use our Vitamix? Us, too!
Here’s the first of (possibly) many Vitamix Usage Reports from Life is NOYOKE.
But first, let’s assess our Vitamix usage at a high level.
December 2016 Recap
December was a crazy-busy month for us. We:
- Published our Ascent Series review.
- Got our Chicago place ready for renters.
- Packed up and left Chicago for three months. (For a recap of our honeymoon and Hawaiian arrival, here’s last weeks’ 5 good things.)
All the while, we were publishing new vegan Vitamix recipes and curating our newsletter.
Initially, I thought being busy would decrease our Vitamix usage. But, looking back, being busy increased it.
During December, we used our Vitamix a ton.
Many nights, dinner was a shake and popcorn (with some wine for dessert). 🙂
We were traveling for the last week of December (see above), which explains why it was quiet during the last week of the month.
New recipes
In addition to the regular rotation of things we make in our vitamix, here are the new recipes we created and posted here.
(Click any thumbnail to go to the recipe.)
Cornbread
Latkes (sweet potato)
Merry mule (x-mas cocktail)
Nog
Pumpkin Balsamic
Sour cream
Wild rice soup
Pretty good, eh? Okay, let’s talk total usage.
Vitamix Usage
All of the following were made in our Vitamix, a Pro 750. Occasionally we used our 32-ounce container for small batches.
Note 1: Obviously, our lifestyle is extremely conducive to heavy use. Work from home, make a living as Vitamix affiliates. But full transparency is the goal here. What do we actually do with our Vitamix?
Note 2: I realize some of these items have an ordered list that begins with “1” but stops there. No “2” or “3” or so on. Well, until I figure out a better way to deliver this information, we’re just going to have to live with ordered lists that end at 1. And yes, I tried unordered list format (bullet points), but that makes it more difficult to tally everything up and a single bullet point is almost just as bad a single item in an ordered list. Okay, moving on.
