We are looking at the e320 because we’d like a 2.2 hp motor but now I see the A320 which is pretty much the same price. This is our first Vitamix purchase so we’d like to get the best one while spending under $500. Thanks for your videos!

Generally when we get this question, we find ourselves recommending the E310.
So the small containers are only used with the Ascent series? I have the Vitamix I purchased from QVC about 2 years ago. It was the Creation GC. Anyway, I like a manual machine because electronic buttons seem to malfunction more often. What I was wondering, and by the way, I purchased the larger taller container because I felt that it had a better torque or blending. I didn’t see your website after I purchased mine and I looked for help all over the place. I live my Vitamix and I use it for protein shakes all the time. I don’t have much of an appetite so that really works for me. I have a couple of questions: can I trade up or should I? I love the ability of the smaller containers and I guess the Ascent series is the only way to use them. Or do I just have to buy a new one and which one is the best to buy. I don’t want a touch button for the issue I talked about above. Kind of a girl that likes manual things Also, how do you eliminate the foam at the top of my protein drinks? Am I not blending them long enough? Thanks for your help

Don’t worry about upgrading. Stick with what you have — if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Especially if you’re happy with your machine.
If you’d like the ability to do tiny batches (smoothies to go, salad dressings, etc), take a look at the Personal Cup Adapter. That’s compatible with the machine you have and will allow you to do some of the smaller container stuff you mention.
How to get foam from top of protein drinks. Good question: After everything’s blended, run your Vitamix on Variable Speed 1 for up to ten seconds. That should remove some of the air bubbles at the top. Feel free to repeat a few times.
Yes, the E310 is similar to your model. On the inside, they’re nearly identical, too. 🙂
