Why you should trust us
Most recently, I was featured on UK-based health coach Ryan Martin’s podcast, Revive Yourself, talking about healthy living and the Vitamix. Since 2012, I’ve been an exclusive affiliate partner of Vitamix corporation. From CEO to Customer Care, I’m on a first-name basis with many people at many levels of the organization. While we only earn commissions when people use our referral link to vitamix.com, our core mission is accomplished wherever you get your Vitamix in the UK. Prior to working on this website full time, I was a licensed Certified Public Accountant working in corporate financial consulting.
Despite being USA-based, we have a large European following. As such, we are working to convert our plant-based Vitamix recipe index from (silly) cup sizes to metric / imperial unit of measurement. Please send us a note if you see an error or omission. 🙂
Overview of Vitamix in the UK
Vitamix sells its machines for household use all over the UK. We, Life is NOYOKE, are excited to finally be able to support customers like you from “over-the-pond.” So if you have questions, let us know! We’re here to help you and offer you free shipping on orders of all shapes and sizes.
Now, let’s talk distribution. Vitamix assembles its products in the USA. As such, the UK gets new products a bit later than initial release. Not ideal, but keep this in mind:
A Vitamix is a Vitamix. Blend quality will not vary between legacy machines (C-Series and G-Series) and newer models. Higher price only means more features.
No, you may not have access to the latest and greatest machine available. But all of the products available for sale are still terrific. And if you’re considering “taking the plunge”, you lose out on precious Vitamix ownership days when you wait.
Okay, now let’s talk specifics.
Power outlet / voltage compatibility
You cannot use a Vitamix. We hear this one all the time: You want to save money by buying in the US (or Canada!) and use that Vitamix in the UK.
The problem is with the power outlet and voltage differences.
So let’s answer the question directly.
Can you buy a Vitamix with different power outlet / voltage and use it in the UK?
You may be able to use a power adapter to power your misconfigured Vitamix in the UK. But keep this in mind: Doing so may invalidate your Vitamix warranty. And quite frankly, probably is not the safest.
Ascent (and Perfect Blend) Availability in the UK
As of today, Ascent Series Vitamix (review) models are not yet available for purchase in the UK. But rest assured.
They will be soon!
Actual release date for Ascent in the UK is slated for early 2018. While you wait, feel free to watch our Ascent-themed YouTube playlist!
The Perfect Blend should be available in the UK sometime in 2018, too.
Best way to get the news that these models are available as soon as it happens? Follow us on Instagram. We’ll post the second we hear the word.
UK-only models
Now, in addition to some pricing differences, there are some models unique to the UK you should be aware of.
Total Nutrition Center – What you ought to know
The Total Nutrition Center is a UK-only version of a 5200. It can do everything you’d want to do in a Vitamix.
- Smoothies.
- Soups.
- Nut butters.
- Doughs.
Its 2.0-litre container can do dry grinding nearly as well as the purpose-built dry grains container.
And because of its variable speeds, “manual transmission” (no pre-programmed settings), and its old-school narrow container, it, like the 5200, is one our favorite models for new owners.
Aspire Series – What you ought to know
The Aspire is a 5200, generally with two features shorter.
- A shorter container (1.4-litre).
- A shorter warranty (5 years).
Regarding the container, the 1.4-litre container is nice because of its low profile. But, it’s less versatile than the wide design that comes standard these days. Here’s a primer on Vitamix container considerations.
Regarding the warranty, 5 years may seem like a long time. But 7 years or more is standard on new full-sized machines. (Only S-Series comes with a 5-year warranty.) But rest assured, Vitamix machines are known to long outlast their official warranty period.
Unique Color options for S-Series – Exclusive to UK!
As a UK shopper, you can get an S-Series, personal Vitamix in variety of fun colors.
- Black
- Brushed stainless
- Cream
- Daybreak Blue
- Red
- Sour Apple Green ?
- White
Each of these comes with a 5-year full warranty and would make a great addition to a kitchen with limited counter space. (When I lived alone in Chicago, I loved having an S30 in my small flat.)
Who would want a Vitamix in the UK?
Vitamix might not yet be a household name in all of the the UK. But, it’s well on its way.
So if you live in the UK, a Vitamix might be for you if:
- You are currently adopting a plant-based diet.
- You like the idea of being an early adopter.
- You want to incorporate smoothies into your life and stick with it.
- You already identify with a lifestyle of wholeness and mindfulness.
- You like to create in the kitchen and want to step up your game.
- You like adventuring with friends.
- You’ve considered getting a Ninja but don’t want to regret making the wrong decision.
Conclusion
Once you become a Vitamix owner, you’ll be a Vitamix owner for life.
It took me awhile to pull the proverbial trigger.
But once I did, the only thing I regretted was waiting as long as I did.
Learn your options for getting a Vitamix into your home in UK. And then?
We’re so excited for you.

You can use a North American Vitamix in the UK you just need the correct transformer to do so (not cheap around £200) needs to be rated for over 1600W.
Alex -
FOUR years now since UK launch of Ascent and STILL no wet/dry 48Oz containers for UK, all because of this stupid self-detect RFID – a feature that no customer asked for. Come on Vitamix!
Kaia -
can I buy UK ascend Vitamix and match it with US accessorises (including the self-detect blade base)? Will it be safe to use? I find UK accessories offer rather constrained comparing to US
Sam Diamond -
UK machines need UK accessories. They have an added safety layer that won’t let them recognize US containers
I’m so tired of waiting for the Ascent US accessories to come to the UK, that I’m just considering getting rid of it, and buy the classic model instead. I will be much happier, without any of this self-detect crap that limits what we can do.
They are literally refusing a lot of money by not making these accessories worldwide available. I cannot fathom it!
Where can I get a vitamix food processor attachment for the ascent series in the U.K.? Or can I buy one in USA and have it shipped here?
Unfortunately, EU machines aren’t configured to work with the Food Processor Attachment yet, so neither option will work. We’re hoping Vitamix will get started on it this year!
Do they have dry grains containers for the UK version Ascent series? If so please refer.
No, unfortunately 🙁
Hi, may I ask if I can buy a pro 750 from UK and use it in Singapore?
Hi there. I’ve been trying to get hold of a Certified Reconditioned 750 Pro in the UK for ages, but it’s always “currently unavailable” on their site. It’s my first Vitamix, but this is the one I really want to start with.
Any ideas where I could get hold of one of these?
Do they ship from the USA to the UK? I guess that would make it ultra-expensive with all the taxes and charges??? And do they even work with the power over here?
“Can you buy a Vitamix with different power outlet / voltage and use it in the UK?

I don’t think you answered the question above. Can you? How is the different power outlet / voltage affecting a performant, long-term and safe use of the Vitamix?
Please, can you be really specific with your answer. Vitamix customer service NEVER answers customer service inquiries, which is really not a good sign for a supposedly excellent company and such upscale market products.
Unfortunately, this is as much as we know. We haven’t ran these tests ourselves, but our assumption is that it can’t be good for your machine, if it does work at all. And if it doesn’t, Vitamix isn’t likely to honor the warranty on a product that hasn’t been used properly.
I wish we could be more specific, but we don’t know exactly what happens, and we haven’t heard from anyone that does. However, that is concerning that Vitamix Customer Service isn’t answering your inquiries.
Call this number 1-800-848-2649 and they should be able to give you a prompt answer.
There seem to be a lack of Ascent containers for the UK, like alternative self detect containers (Wet+Dry 1.4L/48oz), stainless, food processor container (in September is US) etc. Would you happen to know if there are any plans to release these in the UK?
Unfortunately no, there are no updates yet on getting any of those to the UK.
Can you take a UK Vitamix and use it in Europe? Different plugs, but similar voltage? I already own a Vitamix here in the UK but I am moving to Austria and want to know if I can make my UK bought Vitamix work or not.
Yes, UK Vitamix’s will work anywhere in Europe!
