1. Three hurt bowls

We had a joke in high school about calling poorly styled clothing or designs “hurt.” Like, wow, that participation t-shirt from the science fair in 1998 is so hurt.

But sported confidently, something that was “hurt” was actually admirable.

These three bowls are hurt. Unapologetically and proudly not pretty.

May the first two inspire you to try making a smoothie bowl. May the third let you know we, too, eat bowls of pasta sometimes.

First, this breakfast bowl with mango and lime was delicious.

And this one, an acai bowl with granola and seeds, says, “I love you just the way you are.”

And this back-from-out-of-town-we-have-no-fresh-food pasta bowl enjoyed al fresco and photographed atop our filthy cooler features So Delicious shreds, the Arrabiata sauce from Trader Joe’s we’re loving, and the chickpeas our baby didn’t finish for his dinner. (Related: We have really nice recipes for vodka sauce and bolognese sauce that are fun to make.)
