Fluffy Pancakes, Coco-Lime Sorbet, Farewell to Hawaii, and More!
Hi! Here’s what’s new, exciting, and thought provoking from our Life is NOYOKE world.
This is the online version of our weekly email newsletter, 5 Good Things. To get it delivered to your inbox on Saturdays, you can subscribe right here.
1. New blog posts, site updates, and other things we’re proud to be sharing
We published our February 2017 Vitamix Usage Report. (Inside: A ridiculously cute niece / nephew pic.)
+ This is the last 5 Good Things newsletter of Q1 2017. We’ll be back on April 15th with new recipes and some exciting news!
+ As we say farewell to Hawaii, here’s a YouTube vid looking back at our time in Honolulu.
2. New recipe posts we’re drooling over
Dear friends who don’t do bananas: Here’s a creamy, delicious, banana-free smoothie (that uses squash instead). We’re calling it the Sa-Squash.
+ A quick and refreshing dairy-free frozen dessert made with coconut and lime. It’s really dang good, and is appropriately named Coco Lime Sorbet.
3. Classic recipe we’re re-showcasing
Fabulous pancakes you can make in your Vitamix and (be proud to) serve the whole family. They’re vegan, hearty, but still deliciously fluffy. So, so good. A rebooted classic Oatmeal Pancakes (that may have been what sold Shalva on me).
4. Vitamix news and updates we’re enjoying
Canada friends: This is so crazy. You can still get Free Priority Shipping with our links to vitamix.ca and promo code. It’s an C$80 value, and I’m not sure when it’s going away. Could be tomorrow. Do take advantage. With questions about pricing, availability, etc. check out our page for Vitamix shoppers in Canada.
+ United States friends: The Smoothie Box offer! It ends March 31st! (This is your final reminder, as we’re on break next week.)
+ Looking for something to put in your modern kitchen? The A3500 is now available in Bright White!

5. Articles, posts, and products from around the web we’re thinking about
Introducing the Tsimane, a native population in the Amazon. Through a combination of eating mostly plants, doing lots of walking, and maintaining a relatively healthy weight, they have the healthiest hearts in the world.
Okay, all for now.
Thanks and good things,
Lenny

Hi Shalva and Lenny,
My husband John and I enjoyed your video. It was great, and so nice to see the beautiful views from where you were staying. Dan Kailukaitis is our son.Nancy our daughter in law, and beautiful Hali’a our granddaughter. And then there is Pi who loved playing with your dog.

We’re so glad you enjoyed! Dan, Nancy, and Hali’a were the absolute best hosts in such a beautiful location. We were so lucky to get to spend some time in Hawaii 🙂
