💰Guys! Guys! This Classic @Vitamix gem is $110 off plus free ship → Recon Standard Programs! (And if you add the extra three years of warranty, you’re getting more than if you’d buy the new one for less!)
Also known as a Refurbished 6300 or Pro 500, the Vitamix Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs is a gem. If you’re even remotely considering this model, you should get one while you can. They’re in limited supply and will not be available forever.

Notes about the Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs model from Vitamix
This machine is part of the Certified Reconditioned Series. So while it’s exact history is uncertain, there is no downside to choosing it over the same machine new.
And like all Vitamix machines bought directly from Vitamix via links on this site, you also get the risk-free trial, access to easy payment plans, and priority support from us. Plus, you get free shipping.

Unboxing
This model comes in a simple, Vitamix-branded box. Nowhere on the outside does it say Certified Reconditioned or “Refurbished.”
If you’re shopping for a gift and are not sure about explaining the deal with Certified Reconditioned, consider the E310. This, too, is one we like.
Why you should trust me
Since leaving my consulting job and CPA license to start this blog, I’ve focused entirely and exclusively on the Vitamix machine. Helping people decide which one is best for them and then using it to its fullest potential is what I do. Today, my wife, Shalva is the other half of this mom and pop operation.
Also, and possibly more important, I’m quite familiar with this model. On its behalf, I’ve put my resources and reputation on the line. How? I’ve gifted and recommended this model more than any other to family and friends.
Features
This Vitamix model features some nice features, several of which are not even standard on the new Ascent Series.
- Narrow container
- Rubber handle and lid
- Three programmed settings
- Powerful 2.0 HP motor
- Recipe book
- Tamper
- 5-year full warranty
And, this model, like all full-size Vitamix models can do all the things: Smoothies, nut butters, ice cream, hot soups, batters, flours, etc.
Also nice about this model: The narrow container. Compared to the wide container, the narrow one has a smaller minimum batch size for thick blends like hummus, ice creams, and nut butters. (Translation: You probably won’t feel the need for a secondary container unless you looking to use it to be your grains grinder for making flours.)
Why this machine is also known as the refurbished 6300 or reconditioned Pro 500
Vitamix used to give different names to identical models.
Why?
With “exclusive” models, retailers can be price leaders. So while you may know the 6300 as one of the Costco models, it’s really just a Professional Series 500 with a different name.
Why not call it a Reconditioned Pro 500?
While it was just C-Series and G-Series, Vitamix had only four actual Reconditioned variations. C-Series with and without programs; G-Series with and without programs.
All together, here they are:
- Certified Reconditioned Standard
- Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs
- Certified Reconditioned Next Generation
- Certified Reconditioned Next Generation Programs
These models go through a 17-point inspection process and all come with mostly new components.
I’m not an employee of Vitamix, so don’t know for certain (and am free to say the following). There’s a chance that the Certified Reconditioned machine you’re getting is actually brand new, never been opened.

Who the Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs may be for
Have you been waiting for your blender to die before getting a Vitamix?
Have you been waiting for the right deal to come along?
Have you been waiting for a machine that’s almost guaranteed to not disappoint?
If you said yes to any of those, buy a Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs.
Who the Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs may not be for
The Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs model is not low-profile. So if you were hoping to store it under your cabinets with the container on, this one may not be for you.
This Vitamix is not compatible with the 8-oz blending cups. So if you had your eye on them, you may want to consider the Ascent Series*.
