Why trust us (and quick buying advice)
Hi! I’m Lenny Gale and along with my wife, Shalva, we have been Vitamix partners for the last ten years. We’re like the guys at the fair who demonstrate and sell the Vitamix. The only difference is we do it all online. Here is more about our work.
These days, we have a Gold Label Navy A3500 with all the accessories and attachments. But for your first Vitamix and for buying during Vitamix Days, there are better picks.
If we were getting our first Vitamix today, we’d be choosing between the Recon A3500 and the V1200 Super Pack. She would want the V1200 Super Pack so we’d also have the 8&20 ounce kit to make dressings. I’d want the A3500 because of the programs. She’d push back and say there’s so much more value with the V1200 Super Pack. I’d push back and say the A3500 is better built, less loud, and we could just pick up a 48-ounce container for dressings *plus* use it small batches of thick blends where you need the tamper. Ultimately she’d win, but we’d both momentarily regret not getting the A3500. That is until we realized the V1200 Super Pack has a 10-year warranty compared to the Recon A3500’s 5-year. Either way, though, we’d be thrilled with our first Vitamix and eventually be able to add a Food Processor Attachment when necessary.

Vitamix Days vs Black Friday
Vitamix Days is one of a few big sales that happen annually. Black Friday Vitamix sales are not as big as this in terms of both depth and breath. Might you get something better if you wait? Of course it’s possible. But I think there’s a better chance of Black Friday prices being higher than they are for this sale, Vitamix Days. Recommendation: Do not wait. Buy now and buy early — supplies are limited.
Three steps to shopping Vitamix Days
Here are the three steps to shop Vitamix Days to ensure you get the best price and most value.
Step 1) Load your Shopping Cart at Vitamix.com
Vitamix Days is an event for buying direct from the Vitamix website. So it excludes purchases from big box, Amazon, Costco, etc.
Step 2) Add two free gifts
All orders of $299.95 US/$374.95 CA or more come with the following two free gifts with purchase:
Step 3) Click “LifeIsNoYoke sent me!”
This activates our referral and ensures you get the very best pricing and qualifies you for the third free gift, a free copy of our ebook / Starter Kit (once you notify us of your order).
A3500’s are the quietest (least loud), most feature-rich, have the best user experience, and have the most compatibility with attachments (8-oz, FPA). If budget were no concern, it would be the once we recommend ten times out of ten. Ours lives on our counter and we’ve used it daily or more for the last six years. The A3500 is the best blender Vitamix has ever made.
You have four choices:
Of note, if you want to go with the minimalist option, *just* the A3500, you’ll have to get Black Stainless. The other finishes are excluded from the sale.
What does Black Stainless look like and how does it compare to the rest of the finishes?
Not sure which recon A3500 color to pick? Here ya go:
- Brushed Stainless fits the best in most kitchens
- Graphite Metal is like matte black
- Black Stainless is like brushed gold or gunmetal
- Copper is great but only in ultra-chic kitchens;
- All-White is a stain-resistant plastic shell.
- Red is just red
The image below compares them well, as does this video.
Should I get the Stainless Steel container or the one with the full-size 64-ounce?
You should choose the A3500 with Stainless Steel Container (review) if you have one or two people in your home. The narrow, 48-ounce size and shape make it ideal for smaller batches of thick blends. If you have more than two people in your your home, you should get the standard A3500 which comes with the low-profile 64-ounce container. For what it’s worth, it would be too small for us as we make 64 ounces of green juice every other morning.
Is the Aer Disc container worth it?
The Aer Disc container is a fun accessory to have, though non-essential. It’s designed for making whips and foams for special drinks. We like ours for batch cocktails and special drinks like strawberry lemonade (watch!).
What’s up with Certified Reconditioned?
Vitamix sells refurbished blenders under the brand name Certified Reconditioned. They’re a great value that’s well appreciated by Vitamix insiders. They come with the same warranty as new ones (except for fewer years) — full service including free shipping both ways if something happens. Highly recommended.
So which one should I get?
The recon A3500 is such a good deal and comes around so rarely. At that price, it’s an absolute no brainer. Though, they’re not for everyone. And if you want to buy new, go with the one that best suits your lifestyle — The Minimalist, The Just Me’s (or The Just Us’s), or The Entertainer.
7500 vs Propel 750
These two Vitamix blenders are nearly identical. The Propel 750 has five programs where the 7500 has zero. For the price during Vitamix Days, the 7500 is the better pick.

Should you get the FPA?
The Food Processor Attachment (review) is great for the two things a standard Vitamix cannot do: shredding and slicing. Whether you should get it in addition to your new Vitamix depends on how you plan to use it. Do you currently use a food processor today? If yes and you want to combine your blender and food processor into one system, the Food Processor Attachment is great. But if not, you’re going to be most successful taking a minimalist approach to your new Vitamix. You can always get the FPA down the road.
Returns and wrap up
Each purchase as part of this sale comes with free returns within 60-days. If you have any more questions or concerns, please connect with us. This is one of those really special sales that would be a shame to let pass by.
Note: It takes most people 3-6 weeks to fully appreciate the Vitamix machine, figure out which model is right for them, and then finally “take the plunge.” The best way to get there is by signing up for our email series.
