Power of the Purple Smoothie, Pistachio Lemon Nut Butter, Black Olive Hummus, and More!
Hi! Here’s what’s new, exciting, and thought provoking from our Life is NOYOKE world.
This is the online version of our weekly email newsletter, 5 Good Things. To get it delivered to your inbox on Saturdays, you can subscribe right here.
1. New blog posts, site updates, and other things we’re proud to be sharing
Want to know how the proverbial sausage is made?
It’s 7:48pm on Friday night. We’re still processing photos, doing dishes, and putting together this newsletter.
Poor us. I know.
We took Monday and Tuesday off to spend time with family. Didn’t start real work until Wednesday.
Point of telling you this?
I wish I had something more profound to tell you.
But all I have is a few cool things to blend up and a virtual hug.
Hope you’re well. 🙂
Thanks for reading,
Shalva and Lenny
P.S. This week, we published a YouTube video unboxing the A2500 and I was featured on a podcast talking about leaving the corporate grind to make wellness my work.
2. New recipe posts we’re drooling over
Pictures of smoothies doesn’t do them justice. This one, named Power of the Purple, is no exception. Make it in any blender. So, so good.
+ A fancy nut butter thats used best as a gift for a foodie friend. Lemon Lavender Pistachio Butter.
3. Classic recipes we’re re-showcasing
If there’s any type of hummus that my (incredible picky-eating) dad might like, it’s this one: Black Olive Hummus. If you like olives, you’ll love this.
4. Vitamix news and updates we’re enjoying
Easiest way to get started with a Vitamix (aside from the easy payment plans) is to get a Certified Reconditioned machine. Through May, they’re up to $90 off. I highly recommend grabbing a Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs (aka recon Pro 500) for $299 (at vitamix.ca they’re C$399).
+ Because it’s the machine we featured in this week’s YouTube vid, and Instagram story, here’s an A2500 with ingredients for the black olive hummus linked above.
5. Articles, posts, and products from around the web we’re thinking about
This is one of the main reasons I decided to make wellness my work. From CNN: ‘Healthy’ foods have most of us confused, survey finds
Okay, all for now.
Thanks and good things,
Shalva and Lenny
P.S. Yes, I’m wearing a winter hat on May 19th. Miss you, Hawaii. 🙂
