So you just ordered your Vitamix and need a grocery list to prepare for its arrival. Well, it’s kind of like bringing home a baby:
- You want to be fully prepared.
- You’ve been thinking about bringing one home for a long time.
- You’ll love it for well over a decade until it might start to get a bit fussy. (Joke explanation: Vitamix machines come with a 5 or 7 year warranty and generally run well past ten years.)
And so you do all sorts of research. But when it’s time for it to arrive, you just want a go-to shopping list.
“Just tell me what to buy at the grocery store!”
Well, let this be your last stop in preparing for your new arrival. Your Vitamix.
Below you’ll find the new owner’s Vitamix grocery list. But first, there are a few things we should discuss about your first week as a Vitamix owner.
The Myth: With the right Vitamix grocery list you can make anything
You probably want to make a perfect smoothie, hot soup, frozen dessert, dip, and nut butter during your first week.
You’ve seen Vitamix demonstrations and are ready to do it all. Why not?
It looks so easy!
Sorry to say, that’s not the reality.
The Reality: You cannot make everything in one week
And even if you try, you’ll probably fail. Harsh, but true.
Even if you have the perfect Vitamix grocery list, some Vitamix recipes simply take a bit of practice.
The Solution: Start with these three
Your first week with your Vitamix is like the first 100 days of a presidency. Your legacy depends on it.
Your focus should be on getting groceries for and making things that are:
- Easy to prepare.
- Good tasting on your first attempt.
- Great for sharing with your friends and family (share the wealth!).
Sound good? Okay.
What you should make
Here are the three things you’re going to make in week 1 with your Vitamix.
1) The Going Green Smoothie
It’s sweet, it’s green, and it’s foolproof. It’s the perfect starter smoothie for new Vitamix owners.
See the recipe –> Going Green Smoothie from Vitamix
2) Cashew Queso
This dairy-free cheese dip is the most popular one on this site. We make it in our house weekly. It’s great for you because it’s easy to make. The only challenge is getting the nutritional yeast (available at Whole Foods and similar grocers).
See the recipe –> Cashew Queso
3) Creamy Cauliflower Soup
This is a fancy-tasting, super-easy, hot soup. Words do not do this soup justice. So, so good.
See the recipe –>Â Creamy Cauliflower Soup
The Result?
You’ll have made a green smoothie, a (life-changing) cheese dip, and a fabulous hot soup. And, because the recipes are so good and so easy, you’re guaranteed to have great success.
Let’s put it another way.
You’ll have a green smoothie you’ll love. AND, you’ll go way beyond smoothie to add a lot of value to your Vitamix investment.
All with this little grocery list.
We’ll get to nut butters and frozen desserts soon enough. They just take more practice to perfect.
