1. New blog posts, site updates, and other things we’re proud to be sharing
You probably said something similar.
When asked, “What are you working on? What’s challenging for you right now?”, 90% of you said a variation of one of the following:
- I want to eat more vegetables.
- I want to eat clean and not have it be boring.
- I want to break my addiction to simple carbs and sugar.
Our answer? It will take you one hour to read.
Afterwards, please leave an honest review. Thanks!
P.S. For those of you that have already bought a copy, thank you! Could you please leave us a review on Amazon? It really helps.
2. New recipe posts we’re drooling over
From Shalva: This dressing is so addicting you’ll want to eat salads 3x a day. To date, I haven’t been able to find anything like it at the grocery store. Although I have been served something similar in a trendy Uptown restaurant. Grab the few ingredients and blend some up. It’s Coconut Curry Dressing. And your dinner guests will give you a 5-star rating.
+ For 99% of us, homemade almond milk won’t replace store-bought. But here’s the deal: Homemade almond milk is unbelievably delicious. And in certain situations, there’s nothing better. (Spoiler alert: You’ve never had coffee so good.)
3. Classic recipe we’re re-showcasing
Here’s a reboot of the Bloody Apple. Great drink with a silly name. Can you all help us think of a better one?
4. Vitamix news and updates we’re enjoying
Canada residents: Right now, you can get Free Priority Shipping (an $80 value) when you use our link to vitamix.ca. Limited time, will not be available for much longer.
+ Just for fun, our A3500 catching a tan.
5. Articles, posts, and products from around the web we’re thinking about
You guys like kombucha? We’re just getting into it. Anyway, the tiny bit of natural alcohol inside each bottle makes it difficult to sell. Fortunately, a new bill might make it easier (and thus less expensive). It’s called the “Keeping Our Manufacturers from Being Unfairly Taxed while Championing Health Act”: that’s right, the KOMBUCHA Act.
Have you seen “Get Out” yet? We cannot stop thinking about it. (Here’s Shalva and I with our special guest this week, my mother, catching this film on a rainy night in Honolulu.)
We say “make our cashew queso.” Dr. Neal D. Barnard says read his book: The Cheese Trap: How Breaking a Surprising Addiction Will Help You Lose Weight, Gain Energy, and Get Healthy.
Okay, all for now.
Thanks and good things,
