I’ve made this beet smoothie five times in the last couple weeks.
Why so often?
This smoothie made me feel incredibly:
And yes, I needed the pick-me-up.
Reset after celebratory weekends
Bottom line: It was cold and I wasn’t outside much.
But now that’s it’s summer, the weather is GREAT and I have many parties (often outdoors) to attend on the weekends.
What does that mean?
Many opportunities to feast.
This past weekend was no exception: Father’s Day / My dad’s birthday.
We feasted at every opportunity. Veggie burgers, cashew queso, chips & guac, corn on the cob, watermelon…we ate it all.
And then we drank. Lots and lots.
…which led to “broom-for-a-guitar karaoke.”
With all that partying and two, eight-hour drives, I was ready to reset.
So what did I do?
I made this INCREDIBLE smoothie. So, so good. Refreshing and nourishing. Just what a I needed.

The measurements do not need to be exact, just throw these 3 ingredients into your Vitamix container. You cannot go wrong.
I get 100% natural, pre-boiled and chilled beats. Not expensive and totally worth not having to roast yourself.

Detoxifying beet smoothie.
- cucumber - 1 half
- apple - 1 whole
- beets - 2 whole
- ice - 6 cubes
- Add ingredients to your Vitamix.
- Blend for 90 seconds.

- Be energized!
