The Beauty of Frozen Desserts in Your Vitamix
Frozen desserts are one of the unique things you can make with a Vitamix.
So good. So easy.
Such a great way to get real, whole food ingredients in your diet when they’re generally toughest to get: dessert!
In this post, find a video demonstration and links to some of my favorite frozen dessert recipes.
Enjoy,
Lenny

My Vitamix doesn’t have the presets. Ice cream demos always use the machines with an ice cream setting. I can’t get anything close to ice cream texture with mine. Comes out like cold berry sludge. Very disappointing since ice cream and shakes is a big selling point. All I use my Vitamix for is smoothies and soup.

Hi Jason,
Are you using the tamper? Are you using the proper ratio of frozen fruit to liquid? The tamper is a must and a 3 pound to 1 cup fruit to liquid ratio are the biggest keys.
If that doesn’t help, feel free to contact me and I’d happy to assist further.
I have a 7500 where should I set it – and for how long – in order to achieve the pre-set of the machine you used in the video?
Hi Louise,
Start on Variable Speed 1, slowly ramp up to High. Use the tamper and run for 30-45 seconds — basically until you get an even, smooth (but not too liquidy) consistency.
