Hello from Minneapolis. 🙂
Hope you’re doing well.
Would you miss this newsletter if it was gone? Let’s find out.
We’re going to take a two week break from sending it. We’ll be back on June 8th.
As always, thanks for reading, liking, commenting, subscribing, replying, and engaging with our work. We really appreciate it.
1. Vitamix 101 Class Lectures Now Free
In 2015, we created an online class called Vitamix 101. It was well-received.
But here’s the problem.
The course content is not available to everyone. You have to pay to access it.
But since 98% of people expect free video demonstrations, only 2% of people who want to take the class actually do.
Enough of that.
The “freemium” model serves more people.
Over the next week or so, we’ll be releasing the video lectures on our YouTube. There, you can watch them for free.
You can still buy the course if you’d like to support our work and also get the recipes, shopping lists, quizzes to reinforce what you learned, VIP support from us, and lifetime access.
Subscribe to our channel to be notified when new lectures are released.
Cool?
Okay, here are the few we’ve released so far in one convenient playlist:
2. Last call: Mother’s Day Sale (for Vitamix) ends Sunday
There’s always a deal on one or two of the Vitamix models.
But twice per year, every model is on sale. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment, choose from one of our Vitamix Mother’s Day sale picks. Ends: Sunday, May 20th.
+ Somewhat related: SWEETNESS OVERLOAD: This Mother’s Day Tribute Video (from me and the baby)
3. Easy Finger-Food Recipes for Memorial Day
Hopefully you’re eating outside next weekend. Here are a few things to bring to your picnic.
These easy black bean brownies are so good, nobody would ever guess what’s in them.
+ Easy cornbread made from scratch using an ingredient you probably have laying around.
+ For a filling, sweet, summery snack try these Hula bites. (And if you’re really feeling righteous, serve them next to a giant pitcher of green juice!)
4. Updated Smoothie Bowl Tips
In the original ultimate guide to making smoothie bowls, I said to keep the toppings separate and in sections. Because scattering them on top mixed with one another makes the bowl look less appealing (and thus less tasty).
Well, the following is an exception to the rule. If you have just a few ingredients and not much to use, a light scattering can look pretty nice.
This one, tropical smoothie-style (mango, pineapple).
And this one, acai bowl style.
5. Two Easy Dinner Recipes
Editors note: Real dinners below. There was no time to mess around with styling the dang dish. (We were hungry!)
From the Daddy-made-dinner-from-his-own-recipe-and-it-went-quite-well department, here’s an easy dinner recommendation: Pasta (or pasta alternative… zoodles) with Cauliflower Alfredo Sauce and mushrooms. Was delish!
And lettuce wraps (made with tofu and mushrooms). Easy, filling, and not carby!
