Hi! Here’s what’s new, exciting, and thought provoking from our Life is NOYOKE world.
This is the online version of our weekly email newsletter, 5 Good Things. To get it delivered to your inbox on Saturdays, you can subscribe right here.
1. New recipe posts we’re drooling over
We did it. Well, Shalva did it. We made Creamy Wild Rice Soup, and it’s outstanding. We’re talking best, heartiest, most nostalgic soup you’ll ever have. (Minnesota peeps, remember the Chicken Wild Rice Soup from Byerly’s? Or Eddington’s? This is as good and has been veganized. Will be making it weekly until winter is over (or we’re not perpetually freezing cold).
+ A legit, vegan corn bread to go alongside the soup above.
2. Classic recipe we’re re-showcasing
This week’s update is a bit post “season.” But, it was long overdue. Here’s a refreshed pumpkin spice latte recipe. Don’t worry, we aren’t forgetting our past; the original, absurdly amateur YouTube I cannot believe I published is still embedded in the post.
3. New blog posts, site updates, and other things we’re proud to be sharing
It’s happening. From Jan – March, we’ll be living and working from a studio (*cough* AirBnB) in Honolulu, HI. Still looking for a nice, trustworthy sublettor for our studio (*cough* moden 2br, 2ba) in Chicago. Looking forward to bringing you good things from the middle of the Pacific.
4. Vitamix news and updates we’re enjoying
Now through December 31st, our links to Vitamix.com and Vitamix.ca will get you Free Priority Shipping. Nice for procrastinators and people like me who’ve come to expect purchases to arrive yesterday. From $699 to $299, there’s something for everyone.
+ For my friends in Canada. Let’s talk getting a Vitamix in Canada (and how both Shalva and I know your national anthem).
+ For those curious, this is our Vitamix setup.
5. Articles, posts, and products from around the web we’re thinking about
+ From Google News Lab, an interactive, really freaking cool look at patterns around how we eat: The Rhythm of Food. (Among other facinating tidbits, it opens with veganism.)
Okay, all for now.
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.
