Our Q2 Update, Chickpea Cookie Dough, Cake Batter Smoothie, and More!
Hi! Here’s what’s new, exciting, and thought provoking from our Life is NOYOKE world.
This is the online version of our weekly email newsletter, 5 Good Things. To get it delivered to your inbox on Saturdays, you can subscribe right here.
1. New blog posts, site updates, and other things we’re proud to be sharing
Did you miss us? Did you notice we were away? 🙂
For those of you who don’t know, our work schedule is ten weeks on, two (or three) weeks off. Sprint for 2.5 months and then catch our breath for the rest of the quarter.
During that break, it’s not all schluffin’.
We step back and reset. We ask ourselves:
- Who are we?
- What are we best at?
- What work brings us the most joy (and therefore the most benefit to you)?
It’s taken me nearly five years to let go of status and notoriety and material success. Now, all I want is to be small and useful and satisfied.
Who are we?
We are Mr. and Mrs. Vitamix.
We help people:
- Curious about how a Vitamix can help them.
- Trying to figure out which Vitamix to buy.
- Get started with their Vitamix.
- Find inspiration to fire up their Vitamix every day.
We are rewarded by your notes or gratitude and stories of success.
What brings us the most joy (and therefore the most benefit to you)?
We have the most fun when we’re creating together.
Why all the info?
This is a gut check for you as a subscriber to this list. Are you still happily subscribed?
Because starting Monday, we’re going to ask for your help as we launch (officially this time) our ebook The Perfect Mix.
Until then, thanks!
And here’s what’s new and exciting.
2. New recipe posts we’re drooling over
We’ve been seeing versions of something like this make its rounds around social media. So we decided to take a crack at making chickpea cookie dough too.
3. Classic recipes we’re re-showcasing
Like birthday cake? Here’s a simple smoothie that tastes just like it. It’s the Cake Batter Smoothie. We both have birthdays in early April, but it tastes delicious year round.
+ Haven’t made banana ice cream in your Vitamix yet? It’s simple. Some people call it “nice cream.” We just call it delicious.
4. Vitamix news and updates we’re enjoying

Really like this: A moderate approach to fighting factory farming. From NPR: The Reducetarian Solution
Okay, all for now.
