Broccoli Cheese Soup, Lemon Bars, Aioli, A Collab with the Blender Babe, and More!
Hi! Here’s what’s new, exciting, and thought provoking from our Life is NOYOKE world.
(This is the online version of our weekly email newsletter, 5 Good Things. To get it delivered to your inbox on Saturdays, you can subscribe right here.)
1. New blog posts, site updates, and other things we’re proud to be sharing
Make: Guys, we made a few awesome things this week. (See recipes below.)
Listen: Had a great conversation with Canada’s Top Fitness Professional, Dave Smith, on his podcast “Make your Body Work” answering the question: How do I eat more veggies that I just don’t like? (full transcription) (link to iTunes episode)
+ Because I love Canada and its people, here’s my conversation with Ashley James on her podcast “Learn True Health”: Delicious, Fast, Affordable, and Healthy Recipes for a Whole Foods-Focused Diet. (link to iTunes episode)
Read: Have your read our quick-read book, “The Perfect Mix“? If you’ve ever considered “taking the plunge” or are looking for a little jumpstart to Vitamix ownership, our ebook is for you. (If you’re looking for a cookbook with recipes, try Jodi Berg’s The Vitamix Cookbook.)
Watch: Here’s a two-part YouTube collaboration with our friend The Blender Babe, Tarashaun: Part 1: Which Vitamix Container Is Best + Do You NEED the Vitamix Dry Container? and Part 2: Vitamix 64 oz Container vs Vitamix 32 oz Container Ice Cream Blend Off
2. New recipe posts we’re drooling over
We made broccoli cheese soup. So easy, I was the one who made it! Yet another delicious way to make eating veggies a true joy.
+ Some lemon bars that swing both ways in a Kosher house. (Because they’re pareve/dairy-free!)
+ If you like sauces, you know they’re the secret to enhancing food from good to great. This garlic lime aioli is great as a spread on sandwiches or as a dip for fries (or even chips!).
3. Classic recipes we’re re-showcasing
This one makes an appearance in our newsletter fairly often. But it’s so deserving. We made our creamy wild rice soup this week and wanted to remind you how sublime it is.
4. Vitamix news and updates we’re enjoying
For $279.95 (at vitamix.ca they’re C$379.95), you can get a Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs (aka recon Pro 500). If you’ve been on the fence for a while, this is the deal to snatch up while it’s available.
+ The all-touchscreen 780 (review and video demonstrations), it’s still $120 off while supplies last. (Canada shoppers get C$130 off the same model!) An awesome machine made even better with easy payment plans.
+ Our job is to help you pick a Vitamix. Feel free to pick a time, and we’ll call you to talk it all through!
+ If you’re going to buy through us, please use our → link to vitamix.com before you checkout and look for (06-NOYOKE) near the promotion code box to ensure we get credit. Thank you!
+ Just for fun, here’s some broccoli and cheese about to become broccoli cheese soup. (pictured is our A3500‘s container)

5. Articles, posts, and products from around the web we’re thinking about
We just ordered a pack of these 8-oz Mason Jars. They’ve been really nice for storing extras (and maybe even selling our queso at the farmer’s market!?). 🙂
Okay, all for now.
Thanks and good things,
Shalva and Lenny
P.S. We appreciate you. Thanks.
