Get instant lower back pain relief with this Vitamix celery juice recipe
30 days.
Make this whole food celery juice in a blender every day for 30 days and you will get lower back pain relief.
This is our Lower Back Pain Relief (LBPR) juice. It’s made entirely of ingredients designed to reduce inflammation.
But the magic is that it’s also a placebo..
Let me explain.
Why you should trust me
With advice on relieving your acute or chronic lower back pain? You shouldn’t. The only certification I ever received was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. But here’s what’s important: I jump out of bed every morning at 5 AM eager to make things like this to help people like you. So despite not being a licensed medical professional (and therefore am only giving you ideas to discuss with your doctor), you can know that I am reasonably intelligent, hard-working, and passionate about helping people live the lifestyle they deserve.
Some background (and the truth about lower back pain)
Lower back pain is a bummer. No doubt.
But there are three important things you ought to remember about it:
1) Lower back pain is normal. It happens to everyone at some point in their lives.
2) Lower back pain is a message. Your body has unique ways of communicating to your mind. Acute pain is one of them.
3) You can fix lower back pain naturally. Yes, you can do this without any prescriptions (or deadly addictive pain-killers or confounding MRI’s).
More on number threeĀ in a second…
But first, we need to discuss something upsetting.
Big Pharma does not want to fix your lower back pain
Let’s sayĀ your lower back hurts. You probably want to go to your doctor, right?
In the past, here’s what would happen:
- You’d make an appointment with your doctor.
- You’d tell your doctor about your lower back pain.
- You’d request pain killers and tests to see what’s going on.
- Your doctor would write you a prescription for opioids and maybe order an MRI.
- You leave feeling better because pain killers feel good and now you have hope (for answers via MRI).
- Two weeks pass and you’re well on your way to a fun little opioid addiction and MRI results that raise more questions than provide answers.
All this is good for Big Pharma and not great for you. They sell their pills and MRI machines while you’re in a bit of a situation.
Does this all sound like Big Pharma is evil? Do they actually want your acute (or chronic) lower back pain to become chronic (or lifetime)?
You can decide for yourself.
In the meantime, here’s a note about physical activity while experiencing lower back pain.
Important note: Normal physical Activity helps (doesn’t harm)
Once again, lower back pain is a real bummer. It might make you want to crawl up in bed and never get out.
But don’t do that.
Normal physical activity, like walking, actually helps provide lower back pain relief. It does not, contrary to common belief, cause further damage.
Strength and flexibility is really what your body is crying for.
Proceed with caution, of course.
But do proceed. Your body is asking for it.
(Note before moving on: You should not use this same advice for upper back spasms and neck pain. I’m pretty sure that’s your body’s way of saying “slow down, I need to rest and heal.” But again, I’m just a decently well-read guy who’s in tune with his body and will need to rely upon medical professionals to comment below.)
Okay, let’s move on.
Today’s physician’s recommendations for lower back pain: Find a placebo!
Like it or not, doctors are done prescribing pills and tests for your lower back pain. And the new guidelines from The American College of PhysiciansĀ are fascinating:
They just want you to believe.
What does “wanting you to believe” mean?
You have to believe you will get better. You have to believe you can get lower back pain relief.
Side note: I spent way too many minutes trying to come up with something clever with the words believe and relieve. Alas, their proper conjugation makes it pretty difficult. “Embrace belief to find relief” is the best I could come up with.
What’s an easy way to believe?
Take a placebo.
That’s right. Even if you know it’s a placebo, you will still feel better than without taking it.
Crazy, right?
Okay, before we move on, let’s quickly recap. Lower back pain is normal and despite what Big Pharma wants, Doctors now recommend going back to daily activity with the conviction that you’ll get better (even if that is aided by someone giving you a placebo).
Your prescription for lower back pain relief (from Life is NOYOKE)
Make this whole food green juiceĀ every morning for 30 days. Do not skip a dose and complete the entire 30 days.
Continue normal physical activity with caution (walking, etc). Optional: Do this 10-minute yoga routineĀ to the best of your ability, daily.
For best results, make this LBPR green juice in a Vitamix. They’re the highest quality, most reliable, easiest to use smoothie and whole food juice makers (and all-in-one, chef-trusted appliance) you can buy. Pick one here; each comes with no-questions-asked returns for 60 days.
4 ways this green juiceĀ will (actually) reduce inflammation
You know by now that this green juiceĀ is a placebo. A placebo that will give you lower back pain relief.
We keep saying this is a placebo to cover our butts, it’s silly, and yet, we know it will work.
But this juice’sĀ core ingredients all have anti-inflammatory properties.
- Celery.
- Ginger.
- Spinach.
- Pineapple.
In fact, we included this recipe in our 3 Anti-Inflammatory Drinks video.
So to add to the placebo effect, this juice is actually a natural healer.
And most importantly, it’s delicious.
The lemon and ginger are great combo. And coconut/pineapple are also a classic flavor combo (think: pina colada).
The result: YouĀ can’t taste celery or spinach at all!
So, so good.
Go make one today! You will start to feel lower back pain relief by tomorrow.
Not sure?
Watch us make it in this 3 Vitamix Juices Video (at minute 10:42)

Useful tips for Lower Back Pain Relief Celery Juice
You can make this whole food celery juice in any blender. But you’ll get juice-bar flavors and textures in a Vitamix. (Here’s our full article on which one to buy.)
If you don’t have coconut water, use plain water.
If you don’t have fresh ginger, use 1 tsp. (2.8 g) ground.
If you don’t have spinach, and leafy green will do.
After a few minutes, even if you use a Vitamix, your juice will separate a bit. Give it a stir if you want it all the same color.
If you don't like the texture of juice and would prefer a creamy, luscious smoothie, add a frozen banana or a handful of frozen mango.

Just made this with apple instead of pineapple, since that was the sweet fruit I had on hand. So delicious! The 45 second smoothie setting worked great (I try to limit the time since I live in an apartment and always feel self-conscious about running the blender on high for a long time). Thank you!!! This is the first recipe of yours that I have tried, just got my Vitamix last week.

Ginger remains an essential herb in Ayurveda during stimulation and healing. Best recognized for its anti-inflammatory features, Ginger can be added to your everyday menu. This statement of ginger lubricant, as well as drinking ginger tea, can also prove powerful outcomes.
Just wanna say thank you for introducing this green smoothie. Today is my 2nd-day drinking. It helps.
Turmeric remains generally investigated and usually used seasoning in the USA with fabulous antiseptic and healing qualities. Described as the āgolden wonderā, turmeric can be applied to explain various diseases, especially pain, assisting yourself to develop joint pains including arthritis.
This is a tasty juice! We have made it twice, and it’s refreshing! Thanks for sharing.
Just wanna say thank you for introducing this green smoothies. Today is my 2nd day drinking. It helps. It subside the hip and buttock pain.
Asking is there any juices ingredients for natural remedy of delayed period. Thanks again.
Can you make extra and store it in the fridge for the week or does that not work?
Should last in the fridge for a few days š
Any difference in making this āsmoothieā versus putting these same ingredients into a ājuicerā?
You can put it into a juicer if you’d like — you just won’t be getting any of the dietary fiber and nutrients in the extracted portion
I really appreciate having the weights of the ingredients in the recipe. I think the spinach must be off, though. I’ve made this twice and can’t get more than 200gm of spinach to fit in my Vitamix container. (In comparison, your Apple Carrot Kale Smoothie recipe lists one cup of kale as weighing 65gm–just tried it today &=Yum!). I’m new to green smoothies and kinda clueless, so trying to go strictly by the measurements for now. Really like the way this tastes. Thanks!
Helpful feedback, Mike. I’m seeing that 1 cup of spinach equals 30 grams, so you’re 100% right here. I’m going make the adjustment now. Thanks!

Amazing. Thanks so much for this, Vicky. Congrats on the baby and keep up the good work with this juice. Love love
Is 24 ounce a single serving? Do you know if you can add something like apple cider vinegar and it not affect the affects?
Thanks for pointing this out — I think they’re 24 oz servings, yes. And I think it actually makes two of them.
Feel free to add apple cider vinegar — shouldn’t affect the affects.
Just made this. Its not sweet at all. Tastes like celery and its spicy from the ginger. Cant say i love it, but can tolerate this if it lessons knee pain.
Maybe try some more pineapple and less ginger? I think you’ll like the results (of the juice and knee!).
Un yuck. First recipe that I did not like. We dried making it sweet… dates, an apple,…agave… nothing helped…strong celery after taste.
Oh no, sorry to hear that. Celery can be polarizing
Hi. Do you have a video of you guys making this juice? Would love to see. Iām making it as we speak for my sciatic pain, and hopefully Iām doing it right. š¬ Thanks!!
Hopefully soon!
Will this work for knee and ankle joint pain?
It’s a placebo. So yes, it works for knee and ankle joint pain, for sure. š
About placebo….Iāve been using your turmeric ginger latte as a placebo for my sciatic nerve pain before bed. Yum.
Just made Mah a giant batch of this. Was in response to her sudden lower back pain! (Pretty sure it’s from her walking down and back up our giant hill here in Honolulu.)
We were out of fresh (or frozen) pineapple. Had a little bit of candied, dried pineapple from the Hula Bites and used that. Used frozen mango and half of a fresh orange, too. Ended up kind of like a mix between this drink and a Carolyne’s Green Smoothie.
Also, it’s not “placebo” to say that reducing inflammation reduces pain. That’s how anti-inflammatory pills work too.
Is there supposed to be pineapple in this? If so, how much?
My mistake! Just added pineapple: one cup of fresh or frozen. Enjoy!
I was just thinking the other day about how when I first met your Mom she was constantly struggling with her lower back pain. She often needed a pillow behind her back and had to trade chairs for comfort. I just realized that I never hear about her pain anymore. It didn’t just “go away”, but it does seem to have subsided. Best guess as to why? She started doing yoga every morning and blending up a smoothie in her Vitamix!
