Good morning from “wow-we-did-not-expect-a-4-month-sleep-regression-from-a-baby-without-any-sleep-progression-well-good-thing-he-is-really-cute-and-fun-when-he-is-awake” Minneapolis!
Hope you had a nice week. 🙂
Here’s what’s new, exciting, and thought-provoking from the Life is NOYOKE world.
1. The story of our week
As alluded to above, our baby is sleeping like a newborn again. (3:30am? I just took a 1-hour nap. Perfect time for a dance party!) Well, today he finally went down for a morning nap. And to avoid waking him, we got crafty making our morning smoothie bowls.
Watch: How we made smoothie bowls without waking the baby (Instagram Story).
+ Minutes later (and a reminder from the baby to add a slice of lemon (with the peel!) to your everyday green juice)…
2. Recipes we made this week
Without fresh groceries (just got back from Chicago), we leaned on the freezer this week.
As always, use the links to get full recipes, comments, and better-than-cell-phone quality pics.
PB&J smoothie bowls — delicious!
+ Strawberry banana protein shake. Smoothie bowl style.
+ Wild rice soup, the last jar we had stashed away for the baby apocalypse.
3. Recipes you made
Few things bring us more joy than seeing you make our recipes. Here are a few of our favorite shares lately.
Note: If you want us to feature you here, be sure to tag #lifeisnoyoke so we can find it!
Here’s another look at our most popular blender soup recipe, creamy wild rice, with an encore of it from @katie holmes from Minnesota.
+ Beet juice from @hertylove out of Manchester ??. (She improvised as recommended, but looks similar to our apple beet smoothie.)
+ Another all-star recipe of ours: Artichoke dip made in Toronto, CA ?? by @Bowls n Snax
